Pickbury is a trading name of Modasher Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15176519. Registered office: 28 High Street, Clacton-on-Sea, England, CO15 1UQ. We are the data controller for the information described here. Email shop@pickbury.co.uk about anything on this page.

What we collect, and why

  • Your order — name, delivery address, email, what you bought. We need it to send your parcel and to answer questions about it. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.
  • Your account, if you create one — your email and a scrambled version of your password, never the password itself.
  • Payment — taken by Stripe on their own pages. Card numbers never reach us and we could not see them if we wanted to.
  • Emails you send us, kept so we can follow up a query or a return.

We keep order records for six years, because HMRC requires it. Everything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need:

  • Stripe — takes the payment.
  • Vercel and Neon — run the website and its database.
  • Resend — sends your order confirmation.
  • Our suppliers — some items are posted to you directly, so they receive your name and address to put on the parcel, and nothing else.
  • Royal Mail and couriers — to deliver it.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.

Cookies

There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, nothing watching what you look at. That is why you are not being asked to accept cookies.

We use only what the shop needs to work:

  • A sign-in cookie, if you have an account, so you stay signed in.
  • Browser storage on your own device for your basket, your light or dark preference, and whether you have dismissed the “add to home screen” hint. These never reach our servers.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion can be limited by the six-year tax rule above. You can also object to how we use it or ask for it in a portable form. Email shop@pickbury.co.uk and we will reply within a month.

If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first, then complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
